Pastor William J. Kontyko, III
Pastor Joe KontykoPastor Kontyko was saved at age 10 through the ministry of Calvary Bible Church in Mt. Morris, MI. At age 16 he was called to preach God's Word. He preached his first sermon in a public worship service soon afterward on Easter Sunday at Davison United Methodist Church in Davison, MI. He took courses while in High School at Flint Bible Institute and following graduation attended Bob Jones University receiving a B.A. in Bible in 1983 and a M.A. in Pastoral Theology in 1987. Following graduation at BJU Pastor Kontyko served as an assistant minister at NIMC with Dr. Mark Leuthold. Joe also served as an assistant with Dr. Donald Mcknight at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Dublin, MD. Joe pastored a small rural congregation in Western New Hampshire for a number of years before returning to Northside as senior pastor in 2007. Joe was married in 1985 to Mary, a 1985 graduate of Hyles-Anderson College. Mary is employed by a Dunwoody law firm and is also active in the children's and ladies ministries of Northside. They have seven children, David, Stephen, Benjamin, Matthew, Elizabeth, Rebekah and Susannah.
